Data deletion instructions
You can ask at any time for Atlas AI to delete all the data it holds about your Facebook Page or Instagram Business account. No justification is needed, it costs nothing, and the procedure is two steps.
If what you want is to cut off access right now, do not wait for anyone to reply: remove the administrator role from your Page in Meta (step 1). That leaves the system with no ability whatsoever to read from or publish to your Page, immediately. Deleting the data already stored is step 2.
Spanish is the reference language for this document. This English version is provided for convenience; in case of discrepancy, the Spanish text prevails.
Step 1: cut off access (immediate, you do this)
Atlas AI can only operate on your Page because you granted it an administrator role. Removing that role cuts off access instantly.
On a Facebook Page:
- Go to Meta Business Suite or your Page settings.
- Open Settings and then Page access (or Page roles).
- Find the administrator corresponding to Atlas AI and remove their access.
Additionally, in your personal Facebook account:
- Open Settings & privacy → Settings.
- Go to Apps and websites.
- Find Atlas AI and remove the app. Facebook will also offer to delete the posts the app made on your behalf.
At that point any stored credential is invalidated by Meta and becomes useless. Step 2 is what deletes the records already held.
Step 2: request deletion of the stored data
Send an email to alejandro.olmedo14@gmail.com with the subject "Data deletion request — Atlas AI".
Include in the message:
- The exact name of the Facebook Page, or of the Instagram account.
- The Page identifier, if you know it. You will find it in the Page settings, under the information section. It is not mandatory, but it speeds up locating your records.
- A statement that you are writing as the owner or administrator of that Page.
- Whether you want full deletion, or only for content generation and publishing to stop while the history is retained.
To prevent a third party from requesting deletion of data for a Page they do not own, we will verify that the request comes from someone with control over the Page. Typically this means asking for confirmation from an email address associated with the Page, or for a message sent from the Page itself. If that verification is not possible, the request will be refused and the reason explained to you.
What exactly is deleted
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Page access tokens | The encrypted material is deleted from the database and the credential is marked as revoked. Nothing decryptable remains. |
| Page identity data | Name, username, category, linked Instagram identifier, and permission list are deleted. |
| Editorial configuration | Deleted: time zone, language, style guidance, and time preferences. |
| Content proposals | Drafts, generated copy, hashtags, image instructions, and generated images associated with your Page are deleted, whether published or not. |
| Publication history | The internal record is deleted: identifiers, links, and copies of requests. (What is already published on your Page is under your control; see below.) |
| Associated technical logs | Diagnostic entries linked to your Page are deleted. |
What is kept, and why
Only two things, and both for a concrete reason:
- The record of the deletion request itself: confirmation code, dates, and status. It is the evidence that deletion was requested and carried out. It contains no Page data beyond what is needed to identify the request.
- Aggregate, anonymous usage metrics — number of AI model calls, response times — which do not allow your Page to be identified or its content reconstructed.
In addition, backups may contain already-deleted data until they expire. The database keeps a 7-day recovery window, and manual exports are replaced periodically. Backups are not used to operate the system: only for disaster recovery.
Deadlines and confirmation
- Acknowledgement: within 5 business days of receiving the email.
- Deletion carried out: at most 30 calendar days from confirmation of the request. In practice it is usually completed within a few days.
- Final confirmation: you will receive by email a confirmation code together with a breakdown of what was deleted. Keep it: if you later want to check the status of the request, simply reply to that email quoting the code.
Posts already published on your Page
Posts already on your Facebook Page or Instagram account live at Meta, not at Atlas AI. Deleting Atlas AI's data does not automatically take them down. You have three options:
- Delete them yourself from your Page, like any other post. This is the fastest option and always available to you.
- Ask for it in the same email as step 2. Say so explicitly and, before access is revoked, the system can delete them. Mind the order: if you have already removed the administrator role, Atlas AI cannot delete anything, because it no longer has permission.
- Use Facebook's option when removing the app, which offers to delete the posts it created.
If you removed the app from your Facebook settings
Removing Atlas AI from Settings → Apps and websites revokes all permissions and invalidates the tokens on its own. From that moment the system can do absolutely nothing with your Page.
However, that action alone does not delete the records already stored. That requires the email in step 2. It is a short step, but a necessary one: it is how the legitimacy of the request is verified and how you receive confirmation of the deletion.
Other requests about your data
Besides deletion, you can request access to your data, its rectification, a portable copy, or temporary suspension of activity without deleting anything. Details are in the rights section of the privacy policy.
